Situated in Newtownstewart, Strabane and District Community Network is one of the 12 Rural Support Networks, funded by DARD, who provide a key 'gateway' role as a point of contact for communities, channelling information to and from groups.
As well as giving an insight to the background and work of the Network, this site contains links to information and other sites, which may be of interest to community groups from the Strabane District Council area. Maximising Access & Uptake of Services

S&DCN are submitting a tender for Maximising Access and Uptake of Services which is similar to our previous Warm Zones project. If successful we will be seeking the co-operation of Community and Voluntary groups in the Strabane area to help identify vulnerable households and help us deliver the project.

Strabane District, Your Future, Your Say

What are your hopes and dreams for the future of Strabane District? The "Strabane District, Your Future, Yours Say" campaign has put a '60' second survey on Strabane District Council's website so that local people can say what needs to happen to improve this area.

The "Strabane Disrict, Your Future, Your Say campaign will feed into an important conference which will shape the future of Strabane District in years to come.

Western Area Transport Guide

The Western Area Transport Forum have just published a transport guide giving information on Community Transport Services, Community Car Schemes, Public Transport, Taxis, Patient Transport and other support available for older people in the west. The Network sends a monthly flyer to all the community and voluntary groups within the Strabane area. The flyer updates the community sector on upcoming events, funding opportunities, closing dates and deadlines and other items of interest.
