About the Network
Background

Strabane Community Network was established in 1993 with the support and encouragement of Strabane District Council and Rural Community Network to represent community and voluntary groups from across the area. Now known as Strabane and District Community Network, we are one of twelve support Networks covering rural Northern Ireland.

Funding

Since 1997 the Network has been funded by the EU Special Support Programme for Peace and Reconciliation through Rural Community Network with support from Strabane District Council and the balance being raised by ourselves. The Network, in conjunction with 11 other Rural Support Networks has received core funding from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to enable it to continue to support it's members until June 2008.

Services Offered

  • Office servies including: Faxing, Photocopying, e-mail & internet searches.
  • Funderfinder database.
  • Resources available include: Overhead projector and screen, flip charts, display boards and LCD projector available to member groups.
  • Training room available for group use.
